Eastbound traffic on the Long Island Expressway was backed up for miles at Glen Cove Road Friday due to an overturned tractor-trailer.
Two SUVs that had been on the vehicle's flatbed were overturned as well. Police say no injuries were reported.
The eastbound lanes of the expressway were closed at Exit 39 due to the accident. Traffic was backed up all the way to the Grand Central Parkway in Queens near exit 21.
The accident also led to some traffic on the Northern State Parkway.
