Outdoor COVID-19 testing site reopens in Riverhead as area becomes 'yellow zone' due to increase in cases

The site is located at the Riverhead County Center and will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

As cases continue to rise across Long Island, an outdoor COVID-19 testing site has reopened to help stop the spread in Riverhead.
The testing site is located at the Riverhead County Center and will be open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. To make an appointment, call 845-553-8030
Meanwhile, a pop-up driving test site opened at Red Creek Park in Hampton Bays on Friday to help identify new infections.            
Both Hampton Bays and Riverhead have been designated ‘yellow zones’ by the state.
Yellow zones mean restrictions including houses of worship limited to 50% capacity, mass gatherings capped at 25 people, and indoor and outdoor dining limited to four people per table.
Businesses and schools would stay open, but with expanded testing, something that's already happening and there's plans for even more.
