A Shirley man accused of killing a friend while driving drunk is expected to be arraigned within the next few weeks.
A grand jury has indicted Oscar Rivera on charges including vehicular manslaughter.
Police say Rivera was drunk when he crashed a stolen car into a tree on Grand Boulevard in Brentwood in October.
Rivera's passenger David Gonzalez was killed in the crash.
Prosecutors say Rivera admitted to having four or five beers before driving.
Rivera remains in the hospital where he is being treated for injuries from the crash.
