Some Hicksville students traveled back in time Wednesday when they unsealed a time capsule from 30 years ago.

A scroll had been hidden in a rock at Old Country Road School since 1992.

Christine Moir, a fifth-grade teacher who started that year, says they are now ready to put in some new memories.

"Every class in the entire building actually put in their thoughts about what future generations should be told and we're entering that information, we're entering things that they remember in their time, teachers have entered things that they felt are important," Moir says.

Students from 1992, their parents and the principal were also at Wednesday's event.
