Officials: Woman placed stuffed animals hanging from nooses above Black congressional candidate’s campaign signs

A bias investigation is underway in Cape May County after nooses were found hanging above political signs of a Black congressional candidates.
Tim Alexander, a Democrat and former officer, ran against Rep. Jeff Van Drew for the 2nd Congressional District seat.
Police said they’re looking for a blonde woman in what appears to be a Buick who was allegedly seen hanging stuffed animals from trees above Alexander’s signs.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office.
