State police say they arrested a wrong-way driver after a head-on collision on the Southern State Parkway that left two hurt early Saturday morning.

State police say they responded near Exit 32N in the Town of Oyster Bay where 43-year-old Giovannie Merisier was allegedly heading west in the eastbound lanes.

They say she crashed into the other car near Exit 20 around 4:45 a.m.

Police say the driver and passenger of the other car were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
