Authorities say a shooting threat aimed an Orange County middle school last week was found not to be credible.
Goshen Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kurtis Kotes tells News 12 that CJ Hooker students overheard a classmate making a threat last Tuesday on the school bus.
Kotes says kids told their parents, who then contacted the district with concerns.
“The system worked," said Kotes. "We train for this. Within an hour, the person was found and police began their investigation.”
Village of Goshen and state police investigated the incident.
Kotes says disciplinary action has been taken against the student who made the threat.
