A home on Michigan Avenue in Massapequa was severely damaged Thursday in a fire.
Officials say they responded to the scene at around 5:30 p.m. A total of six departments also traveled there to assist.
Two people were inside the house when the flames broke out. However, authorities say they were not injured.
Officials told News 12 that the fire appeared to be accidental, although an investigation is still underway.
