Officials say a man admitted to driving drunk and killing a man in the parking lot of a Woodbury diner.

Willem Specht pleaded guilty to hitting Joe DeVito after rapidly backing out of a parking spot outside the of Parade Diner last year.

Specht’s blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit. He faces up to 15 years in prison when he's sentenced next month.

The Nassau District Attorney’s Office says Specht also has two prior DWI convictions.
