Officials say the Long Beach volleyball league is expected to resume next week after it was suspended.

Officials say the league was shut down earlier this week after players allegedly refused to keep the emergency lane clear on Ocean Beach Park.

The city says, "League operators met with representatives of the City's Department of Parks and Recreation and Beach Patrol to come up with the changes needed to assure the safety of beachgoers.”
