The Suffolk Medical Examiner is expected to release some of its findings Tuesday on the death of two elderly patients at a Hampton Bays clinic.On Thursday, 67-year-old Florence Knight and 69-year-old Charles Varachek, both from Flanders, were hooked up to their own dialysis machines at the Dialysis Center run by Southampton Hospital. Within 10 minutes of each other, both patients went into cardiac arrest and later died. The clinic was shut down and state health officials launched an immediate investigation.Hospitals officials said preliminary testing of the treatment and the equipment used on those two elderly patients showed nothing wrong. The center reopened on Saturday after the New York State Health Department gave the OK.
