Fire officials say they are trying to figure out what caused flames to break out at the Marriott Hotel near the Nassau Coliseum Sunday night in Uniondale.

News 12 was told it started around 5 p.m. on James Doolittle Boulevard. 


Crews tried to put out flames in what appears to be a room on the third floor.

There is no
 word if there were any injuries.


Several people were displaced and were being helped by the American Red Cross.
