Officials: Fire damages home on Lane Mills Road in Lakewood

Officials say that the fire started just before 8 a.m. Thursday. Video posted on the Lakewood Scoop shows flames shooting out of the upper floors of the home.

Fire crews in Lakewood were busy once again after a fire broke out at an empty house located at 1360 Lanes Mill Road.
Officials say that the fire started just before 8 a.m. Thursday. Video posted on the Lakewood Scoop shows flames shooting out of the upper floors of the home – which is located about 50 yards away from Yeshiva Gedolah of Woodlake.
Crews on the scene tell News 12 that the school owns the home and uses it for auxiliary classrooms.
The Ocean County Fire Marshal K-9 unit arrived around noon to investigate the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported.
Lakewood fire crews have been busy the past few days fighting a 35-acre wildfire near the Lakewood Country Club.
