A five-alarm fire destroyed multiple businesses in University Heights Wednesday, and the Department of Buildings say what is left of the structures will likely be demolished.
The fire destroyed a 99 Cents store, a Laundromat Express and Sal's Pizzeria on University and Burnside avenues.
Residents say the three businesses were some of their favorite spots and made their lives easier.
The Compare Foods in the area was only partially damaged and could reopen in about a week.
