Five people were rescued after a boat overturned on the Great South Bay, and the operator was arrested.
It happened Sunday night about 2 miles south of Hecksher State Park.
Officials say all five were found clinging to the vessel and only two were wearing life jackets. They say no one was hurt.
The boat's operator, Frank Ciccolella, of East Meadow, was arrested on BWI charges.
All of the occupants refused medical attention.
