Three individuals were hospitalized after a fire erupted Saturday night at a home in Manorhaven.

Officials say flames broke out at the residence on Linwood Road North before 8:00 p.m.

Assistant Chief Fire Marshal James Hickman says a senior woman inside the home at the time was helped out by one of her sons.

The three people involved are expected to be OK, according to authorities.

Officials say multiple departments responded to the scene and assisted in extinguishing the flames.

The second floor of the home collapsed due to the fire, which made the job difficult for first responders.

"Between the collapse and the accumulation of things inside, the fire department had quite the battle on their hands,” said Hickman.

The fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire, according to officials.
