Officials say 21 people, including two men from Suffolk, are under arrest in a nationwide catalytic converter theft ring.
The two Suffolk men, 26-year-old Adam Sharkey, of West Islip, and 57-year-old Robert Gary Sharkey, of Babylon, were two of the 21 people arrested in connection to the ring.
The operation is linked to at least eight other states.
Detectives say some of the defendants bought stolen catalytic converters from thieves on the street, then re-sold and shipped them to a business called DG Auto in New Jersey.
Law enforcement agencies seized millions of dollars in assets, including homes, bank accounts, cash, and luxury vehicles.
