Officer from LI on desk duty after Blake incident

The NYPD officer who tackled and handcuffed a former tennis star is from Long Island. Police officials say James Blake was mistaken for a suspect in a fraudulent credit card scheme by an officer.

The NYPD officer who tackled and handcuffed a former tennis star is from Long Island.
Police officials say James Blake was mistaken for a suspect in a fraudulent credit card scheme by an officer.
Reports say the officer, James Frascatore, is from Oceanside. Frascatore has been placed on desk duty.
The incident happened outside the Grand Hyatt Hotel on 42nd Street in Manhattan.
The NYPD has since apologized for the incident.
