An off-duty NYPD officer has been shot during an apparent carjacking in Brooklyn.
Police say city housing officer Tramaine Oxley was sitting in a Range Rover in East New York when a car pulled over, according to the New York Post.
The Post says a man tried to the open the door of the Range Rover, and Oxley traded gunshots with the attacker shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday.
The officer was reportedly hit in the arm and leg, but is expected to survive.
