Off-duty MTA bus driver sentenced to up to 15 years in prison for driving drunk, killing passenger

A 26-year-old man was killed. Donnell Hill’s 13-year-old son and two others were hurt.

An off-duty MTA bus driver was sentenced to up to 15 years in prison after admitting to driving drunk and killing a passenger in his own car.
Prosecutors say Donnell Hill slammed into a tree driving 97 mph on Jerusalem Avenue in Hempstead in 2022.
A 26-year-old man was killed. Hill’s 13-year-old son and two others were hurt.
Prosecutors also say Hill was doing donuts in the road right ahead of the crash.
