NYU Langone Hospital in Mineola celebrated the LGBTQ+ community with public displays of support for Pride.
Many staff members of the hospital formed human letters that spelt out Pride to show their support. Many people also wore LGBTQ+ flags on their badges.
Staff at the hospital who are part of the LGBTQ+ council are there for patients who may have any questions.
The event was to acknowledge that all people from the LGBTQ+ community should feel welcome when receiving health care.
This the first Pride recognition the hospital has done to support the LGBTQ+ community.
