New York state golf courses on Long Island have officially reopened as of Monday.

Golfers can now tee up at the courses at Bethpage, Sunken Meadow and Montauk Downs state parks.

There are new rules to be followed, including:

- Tee times are reservation only.
- Payment must be made by credit cards only, and people are encouraged to pay over the phone.
- Golf cart and pull cart rentals will not be available.
- Touching of pins is not allowed.
