NYPD: Brooklyn man steals American Airlines bus from JFK airport

The Brooklyn suspect drove over 15 miles from John F. Kennedy International Airport before being taken into custody, authorities say.

Police say a man stole an American Airlines bus driving it over 15 miles from the John F. Kennedy International Airport early Wednesday morning.
Sources tell News 12 an airport employee saw the man steal the bus and called police. Officers believe the driver went down the Brooklyn Queens Expressway then continued onto the Van Wyck, up Grand Central Parkway, along the FDR Bridge and across the Brooklyn Bridge where police caught up with him at Cadman Plaza.
The NYPD have the 43-year-old suspect in custody and are investigating the motive. Police did confirm the alleged thief was from Brooklyn.
There were no passengers inside the bus at the time it was stolen, and no cars were hit. No injuries were reported.
