NYPD: 55-year-old man killed in Prospect Heights hit-and-run

Police say the man was crossing the Washington Avenue and Fulton Street intersection when a burgundy Ford Explorer hit him.

A 55-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck during a hit-and-run overnight in Prospect Heights, according to police.

Police say the man was crossing the Washington Avenue and Fulton Street intersection just after 12 a.m. when a burgundy Ford Explorer hit him.

The man was pronounced dead at a hospital. As of Saturday morning, the driver remains at large.
