Voters in New York have approved a referendum that will allow seven casinos to be built across the state.

The move could be the first step in Vegas-style gaming eventually coming to the Island.

The referendum will start with four casinos being built upstate in the next seven years.

Then after that, proposals will be considered to build full casinos in our area.

Video lottery terminals are already coming to Long Island with one in Suffolk and one in Nassau.
