(AP) - Prosecutors have brought new chargesagainst four men accused of plotting to bomb New York Citysynagogues and shoot down military airplanes.

The eight-count indictment was returned Tuesday in federal courtin White Plains.

The men were originally charged with conspiracy to use weaponsof mass destruction and conspiracy to acquire and use anti-aircraftmissiles.

The indictment adds three counts of attempting to use weapons ofmass destruction and a count alleging an attempt to acquire and useanti-aircraft missiles. It also adds a charge of conspiracy to killU.S. officers and employees and a charge of attempting to kill U.S.officers and employees.

An arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday on charges carrying apotential of life in prison.
