(AP) An Amber Alert has been canceled after authorities located a baby boy who was taken from a Manhattan child welfare facility without permission by his mother.

Police say 7-month-old Mario Danner Jr. is in good condition and was taken to a hospital on Wednesday. His mother, 25-year-old Marina Lopez of Queens, was taken into custody.

A number of people who received the Amber Alert on their phones at around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday complained on Twitter that it jolted them awake and scared them.

The child was at a Children's Services facility for a supervised visit when he was taken around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities say Lopez of Queens is not the custodial parent. They say she's had recent "outbreaks of violence."
