Novel enthusiasts get the chance to meet and talk with some of their favorite authors in what is considered the premier literary event of the Hamptons.
This year marks the 19th annual fundraiser for authors night where thousands of fans celebrate the literature world at Herrick Park.
The event features more than 100 of the best-known authors from across different genres.
I'm delighted to be reminded that there are people in this world who still read like a book so it's an affirmation that still exist," said author Neil deGrasse Tyson.
It’s one of the largest events celebrating books and authors and their fans.
The popular summer event is held every year to raise money for the East Hampton Library.
It's everything from programs with babies learning colors and gymnastics through lectures for adults defensive driving classes," added East Hampton Library Executive Director Dennis Fabiszak.
Organizers are expecting more than 2,000 guests to attend and anticipate raising $500,000.
