A Northport man charged with DWI filed suit Friday against police officers who allegedly beat him during his arrest last November.Police say Kevin McKenna, 49, was driving drunk and resisted arrest. McKenna is on trial for driving while intoxicated, but says it?s a trio of arresting officers who should come before a judge. McKenna says he was pulled over on Fort Salonga Road and suffered cuts and bruises at the hands of Northport Village police.McKenna?s attorney says his client was respectful to police, who chose to rough McKenna up after he told officers he wasn?t drunk. McKenna testified in court that police sprayed him with Mace while he was handcuffed and repeatedly bashed his head into pavement. He is suing Northport Village for $70 million. The village?s attorney has not commented yet.
