Some Long Island parents are being warned about a "troubling private Instagram account."

It's called Northport Confessions. The Northport-East Northport school district says it shows videos of students fighting in various locations.

It says most of the students are from the middle school.

The account has been reported to Instagram, and the district is working with a school resource officer on cyber safety educational programming at Suffolk's 2nd Precinct.

The superintendent is urging parents to discuss appropriate social media behavior and to follow your child's accounts.
