Nassau County residents today remembered the Long Island residents who were among the thousands killed in the Sept. 11. terrorist attacks.
A memorial ceremony was held on Davies Green in North Hempstead to honor the 56 residents from the township that died on that day.
Karen Lee lost her husband, Richard, in the World Trade Center attack. She says the ceremony does not get any easier after 13 years.
"There was so much left for them to do here, and it's such wonderful people that we lost," said Lee. "I miss my husband every day, every second."
Richard Lee was one of 658 Cantor-Fitzgerald employees who died on Sept. 11.
