Long Island's newest brewery is opening its doors.

After months of anticipation, the North Fork Brewing Co. opened in Riverhead Friday afternoon.

The micro-brewery is in the former Riverhead Fire Department headquarters on East Second Street.

North Fork Brewing is unique because they use several types of hops grown on their own farm in Peconic, as well as home-grown yeast.
