A teen is facing bias charges for allegedly attacking and robbing Hispanic men in Hempstead.

Investigators say 17-year-old Nicholas Gardner beat up and tried to rob two Hispanic men on Fulton Avenue Friday. One of the victims is 76 years old, officials say.

Authorities say Gardner also punched a man on Jerusalem Avenue and attacked a bicyclist on Henry Street a few weeks ago. Back in November, Gardner also allegedly robbed a man on Greenwich Street. Two other teens were arrested in that crime.

Gardner is being held on $1 million cash bail. His mother declined to comment in court today.

He is due back in court on Wednesday.
