Police say two men from Queens have been charged with attacking a NICE bus driver in Mineola.
They say Delroy Greaves and Kevin Chavez allegedly got onto a bus without paying. When the NICE driver stopped at the Roosevelt Field Mall bus terminal, the men started yelling at the victim and threw a can of beer at him.
Officials say when the victim ran off the bus the men followed – punching him and then hitting him in the head with a skateboard.
The two men are facing assault charges. The driver was treated for minor injuries.
