An ill-timed email was apparently sent to supporters of Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano on Thursday.
According to Newsday, an email was sent inviting Mangano supporters to a breakfast fundraiser on the same day he was arrested on federal corruption and bribery charges.
Newsday reports the invitation's release was scheduled before Mangano's arrest.
Mangano is now back at work vowing to fighting the allegations.
