The New York Islanders played their first-ever game at their new home tonight in Brooklyn.

The Barclays Center was open for business when the Isles faced off against the New Jersey Devils for a preseason game.

The Islanders announced last year they will be moving to Brooklyn in 2015.

Cory Schneider made 26 saves to lead the New Jersey Devils to a 3-0 win over the Islanders.

Jacob Josefson scored at 10:14 of the first period and Patrik Elias and Steve Bernier added goals in the second and third periods, respectively.

Evgeni Nabokov made 22 saves for New York, which fell to 1-3-0 in the preseason.

The Devils improved to 2-1-0 in the preseason.

The game drew 14,689 fans, including "26 percent of ticket buyers are from Brooklyn," according to Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark.

League officials were in Barclays Saturday night to observe the first NHL game in the one-year old building. New York will move into the $1 billion arena for the 2015-16 season.
