The New York Giants say a player has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the team, they were notified late last night of the positive test. The team says the player was immediately self-isolated, and the contact tracing process was initiated.
According to ESPN sources, the player is offensive lineman Will Hernandez, and eight players and two coaches are quarantining as a result. The individuals participated in meetings remotely.
The team is working with the NFL's chief medical officer regarding next protocol steps.
Quest Diagnostics Training Center remained open Thursday, with the rest of the team following their normal practice and meeting schedule.
Coach Joe Judge said he expects Monday's game vs. Tampa Bay to be played as scheduled.
