One of the most iconic New York City landmarks was born on this day in 1883.
The Brooklyn Bridge is celebrating its 141st birthday and it was perfect weather on Friday to celebrate.
A woman and her husband who were visiting the city for the first time told News 12 that the views from the bridge were breathtaking.
"Crossing the bridge, it's just amazing, especially today because it's the birthday," she says.
Some city organizations took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to show their appreciation for the landmark.
The City of New York paid tribute to the birthday, calling the Brooklyn Bridge an "architectural marvel."
The New York Transit Museum celebrated the milestone birthday with some throwback photos of the bridge back in its younger days.
