During the investigation, Suffolk County police Seventh Precinct Investigative Unit officers notified the responding patrol officers that Edwards was wanted for other incidents in the area.

Suffolk County police said Edwards was responsible for stealing from multiple businesses and cars across the Shirley and Mastic areas throughout February.

  • Food from the Handy Pantry at 630 Mastic Road in Mastic Beach on Feb. 28

Suffolk County police charged the Mastic woman with five counts of petit larceny and one count of fourth degree criminal mischief.
