A new project is set to launch that will make it easier to get to Fire Island ferries.
According to Newsday, construction for bike paths and handicap-accessible sidewalks in Bay Shore will begin this fall.
The Bay Way Corridor Project will connect Bay Shore trains to ferry terminals with the walkways and bike paths.
It is expected to make it safer and less confusing for people heading to the ferries.
