Officials say two schools in Massapequa have been switched to remote learning after multiple positive coronavirus test results.
According to school officials, two students and multiple staff members have tested positive at Berner Middle School. In addition, one student has the virus at Birch Lane Elementary School.
Deep cleaning and contact tracing is underway.
Meanwhile, in Suffolk, East High School in the Half Hollow School District has been moved to remove learning both today and tomorrow.
Officials say multiple students at the high school tested positive this weekend.
