A New Jersey man was arraigned on multiple charges after arranging to meet an undercover investigator he believed was a 13-year-old boy, the Rockland County District Attorney's office said.

They say Carl Ellis, 55, exchanged numerous sexually explicit messages with the undercover officer before traveling to the Crown Plaza Hotel in Suffern on April 7 to engage in sexual behavior.

He was arrested upon arrival by New York State Police investigators, prosecutors say.
