Officials say the ISIS terror threat is hitting closer to home.
The group is posting messages online asking supporters to attack tourist hot spots in the United States. At the top of its list is Times Square, but NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton says there is no specific threat right now.
The post includes instructions on how to make bombs at home.
Meanwhile, an upstate man is charged with trying to help ISIS. Mufid Elfgeeh is accused of trying to send money to the terror group and recruit people to travel to Syria. Officials arrested the Rochester man earlier this summer for allegedly planning to attack returning soldiers. Elfgeeh is originally from Yemen.
In a new propaganda video titled "The Flames of War," the group of fighters is seen blowing things up, and President Obama appears saying combat troops will not be returning to Iraq. The video ends with a message "fighting has just begun."
Meanwhile, one of America's top generals is not ruling out sending combat troops into Iraq. Joint Chiefs Chairman Martin Dempsey told Congress on Tuesday that he wouldn't rule out asking the president for ground troops.
The House voted Wednesday in favor of training moderate Syrian rebels to fight ISIS with American weapons.
