A man and woman accused of being swingers and blackmailing people faced additional charges in a Mineola courtroom Tuesday.
According to police, Shawn Payne, of East Hampton, and Michael Largue, of Franklin Square, blackmailed several people with whom they had sexual relations using videotapes and photos. Police say they used swinger Web sites to contact their victims.
Largue is charged with grand larceny and Payne is charged with grand larceny, scheming to defraud and promoting prostitution. At first there were only two people who said they were victimized by the pair. Tuesday, new evidence was presented to the grand jury from more victims that came forward. Each suspect faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
