State Attorney General William Tong has released a new PSA to help warn about the dangers of romance scams.

Tong explained that people on the verge of being scammed are lured in with a story involving a tragedy with a relative or another money related crisis and are urged to send large sums of money to aid in the crisis.

The PSA also explained the importance of limiting personal information shared on the internet and the precautions needed to be safe in the online dating scene.
