There are new calls this morning to put the brakes on Nassau's school zone speed cameras until there are enough warning signs.
State Assemblyman Charles Lavine wants the county to suspend enforcement until "prominent warning signage" is put up, according to Newsday.
He's sent a letter to Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano calling the school speed zone program a "debacle."
Lavine says the program should be on hold until warning signs are up at all 56 speed zone camera locations.
