Nearly 90,000 pounds of ready-to-eat ham is being recalled because it may contain listeria.
Johnston County Hams issued the recall after four cases were linked to its products since last July.
One person in Virginia has died.
The product was distributed in New York, Maryland and South Carolina.
The recall also includes products marketed under the Old Dominion, Padow's and Goodnight Brothers labels.
Anyone who may have the ham is being asked to return it to the store, or throw it away.
