Nazi symbols and white supremacy messages were discovered inside and on the grounds of Hauppauge Middle School within the past week.
School officials contacted Suffolk police Tuesday after finding multiple 4-foot swastikas spray painted on storage trailers outside of the school.
During that call, police said the officials told them about leaflets discovered in school bathrooms last Thursday. The leaflets contained Nazi and white supremacist imagery, including the phrases "Heil Hitler" and "White America," police said.
District officials declined to speak on camera. Suffolk police ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 220-TIPS.
