A possible record-breaking crowd turned up at Jones Beach Saturday to watch the radical twists and turns performed in the sky by the Navy?s Blue Angels.
The performance is part of the third annual Bethpage Federal Credit Union Air Show and held a special meaning for veterans this Memorial Day weekend. The estimated 130,000 people watched as the F-15s owned the sky over the beach.
A Blue Angel lieutenant commander said it was a fantastic opportunity to represent the men and women fighting the war on terrorism.
