Students at a Copiague elementary school got a lesson in clowning around Wednesday.
The National Circus Project visited students at Deauville Gardens East Elementary School to teach kids about various facets of the circus, including mime skills and stilts.
Members from the project say the program helps children with self-esteem and coordination.
The weeklong activities culminate in a show for parents Friday night at the Copiague Middle School.
